This Freshman Learning Community is designed for students who know that they want to be teachers and those who want to learn more about the teaching profession. Students take courses that are important to elementary teacher education preparation and that are applicable to many other programs of study.
The FLC 101 seminar will be a close up and personal view of elementary teaching. The courses involved in the FLC are English 101 or 103, Psychology 101, BCE 101, and FLC 101.
The directors of this community are Dr. Lee Freeman and Ms. Carolyn Palmer, who are both in the College of Education and are experienced elementary school teachers.
