Women Involved in Learning and Leading (WILL) is an academic and leadership development program for undergraduate women. Students who select this learning community may participate in the WILL student organization, enjoy a rich array of cultural programs concerning women, and begin coursework that could lead to the minor in Women's Studies. WILL is also unique among the freshman learning communities in that it includes a living option.
The courses that compose the WILL freshman learning community are Women's Studies 200, which is a General Studies humanities course, Freshman Composition (English 101 or 103), and the one-hour integrative seminar (FLC 101).
The directors of the WILL community are Dr. Ida Johnson and Ms. Holly Morris. Dr. Johnson is chair of the Department of Women's Studies and professor in the Department of Criminal Justice. Ms. Morris is assistant director of the UA Women's Resource Center.
